People who use your computer without your consent should beware. REFOG Personal Monitor will track everything they do without even knowing. A keylogger software may not be quite ethical, but they can come in handy when needed.

You shouldn't have to wait long for the 7.73 Mb package to finish downloading. The installation process is fast so you can have the program start monitoring in no time.

The interface has a good looking design and it lets you access the logs it creates straight away. The main window is divided into three general areas. On its left side you can find a tree like navigation pane with log categories. Underneath it, also in a tree like structure, are the program's main settings. The content of a certain category is displayed on the larger, right side of the window.

REFOG Personal Monitor records every task or action you make on the computer. Just click one of the categories from the navigation pane and you'll be able to see detailed reports on visited websites, computer or program activity, even keystrokes.

The toolbar doesn't feature too many options. There are a few large, chunky buttons you can use to start or stop monitoring, switch from a table to a PDF view of the reports, update reports and a few others. The most interesting feature is that you can set the program to periodically send you reports via e-mail. You can also set alerts should the program detect certain keystrokes you have set. You can access this feature fast in the options, below the navigation pane.

Another key feature to REFOG Personal Monitor is stealth. It's not impossible to find, but you'll need to look hard for it in order to find it. So there's no need to worry that someone may stumble upon it. If you hit the Hide key on the toolbar, the program's shortcut will disappear and the only way to access it again is via shortcut keys. REFOG Personal Monitor is so hard to find that its uninstall feature can be found in a menu from its interface. You won't even find it in the uninstall list from Window's Control Panel.

Pros

The program offers strong and reliable monitoring features.

Cons

You may want to be careful with it. If you forget the shortcut key, you'll have a hard time finding the program again. Another drawback is that the trial version lasts for only three days. There's no way someone can evade REFOG Personal Monitor's surveillance. Its features let you monitor computer activity in a stealthy way and even from a distance.
